One of Windows’ shortcomings is its relative single-mindedness when it comes to clients. Windows as a server platform mainly supports Windows clients with the majority of its features. It
is possible to support Mac and UNIX clients, but only with special add-on software, and even then, some client features and security are limited. But, it is possible to support all versions of
Windows Operating Systems as clients for all of the Windows Server platforms.
